Big Strides with More Cities Opening Up for Events

As the COVID-19 vaccine continues to roll-out, professional sporting teams are expanding the number of fans in the stands, businesses are opening, and airlines are adding more passengers. These are all positive signs for the reopening of the event industry.

In the U.S., several big announcements have been made about opening venues to allow for large size gatherings. The Gov. of Nevada made an announcement that the goal is to reopen every county in Nevada to 100% by June 1, 2021. This announcement is big news for 2021!

Other big news this past week included Salesforce being fully committed to holding Dreamforce live in- person at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, September 21-24, 2021.

Louisville, Kentucky is one of the new “it” destinations to host conferences and events.

The first weekend in May, the famous Kentucky Derby returned with over 51,000 live spectators and star-studded celebs.


New Orleans turns Green on the Event Tracker!

The city recently hosted Win the Storm Conference and Expo, a tradeshow for storm-related businesses – insurance adjusters, contractors, etc., and more than 3,500 attendees attended the show.

Indianapolis is a Great Place to Host a Sporting Event!

With the Final Four NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament and the Gospel Coalition Women’s Conference occurring with “thousands” of attendees in the past month, we are excited to turn this city Green!



Las Vegas Is Coming Online Starting June 1st.

In its current phase, the city and venues, had restrictions on the number of attendees that could attend events. However, Steve Sisolak, Governor of Nevada, announced the goal for every county in the state to be fully reopened at 100% capacity by June 1st. This is great news for the city of Las Vegas. Our Las Vegas teams are preparing to safely host shows with large group sizes, starting in June.

Texas Rangers’ Baseball in Arlington Texas Opens with No Attendance Restrictions.

On April 5th, the Texas Rangers had their opening debut at Globe Life Field at full capacity for over 40,000 fans.



Japan Holding Court in Preparation for the Summer Olympics.

Although Tokyo has been green on the Event Tracker for a while, it has been capping events at 5,000 attendees, and restaurants and other establishments are closing at 8pm. During the holiday weekends, they have been encouraging citizens to stay close to home and continue to have a ban on international travel.

This is all extremely exciting as we look to safely bring back our billion-dollar events industry.
